Building stories that move us together

Business and nonprofits thrive on strong relationships and the fastest way to build a strong relationship is a shared story. Whether you need help building stronger skills for you team, clarifying your organization’s story, or communicating that story through presentations or video content, we can work together to ensure that you’re building the relationships that you need to thrive.

Build Stronger Relationships

Workshops

Onboarding and Team Building Workshops give participants narrative tools that they then use to create stories that both allow a deeper connection between team members and align their personal values with the values of the organization.

Leadership Workshops focus on narrative tools geared towards building trust and inspiring action with all of the stakeholders in the organization’s ecosystem.  The goal is engaging an audience with authentic communication based on an understanding of your audience.

Story Coaching

A clear and engaging story not only makes it easier to build the relationships (with clients, investors, teams, etc.) that will help you thrive, it also helps energize your mission by connecting your actions to your values. We’ll make sure that your audience knows not just what you do, but also why they should care.

Video Production

Combined with a clear story, Videos help communicate the human impact of your work and are an essential tool for building trust with your audience. We’ll build a video focused on who your audience is, what they need to hear, and who they need to hear it from.

I love helping people build connections through storytelling. I started out writing and acting in plays with a small company in Galway, Ireland.  We’d often perform in venues so small that I could reach out and touch the audience, so using stories to connect with audiences has always felt both meaningful and urgent.  For the past two decades I’ve been engaging audiences as a playwright and working to inspire newer storytellers as a teacher and workshop leader. As a playwright, my work has been published and produced across the country, and twice been named a “Critics Pick” by the New York Times.  As an instructor I’ve led classes and workshops at universities and theaters and have taught business storytelling skills to groups including entrepreneurs developing pitches, interns hoping to build relationships at work and boards hoping to increase engagement with their organization. I believe that a clear, honest story builds trust in your audience, and that can be the basis for a strong relationship that benefits everyone involved.
